Luis Alberto Elicier, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint, Connecticut State Police said.
Elicier was at a small gathering of friends at a Tolland home for a birthday party on Thursday, Sept. 26. During the festivities, witnesses said Elicier seemed to make advances at a 29-year-old Connecticut woman by playing her favorite music and pouring her shots of alcohol, police said.
Later that night, Elicier and the victim ended up in the home's hot tub. The woman told her friends that he kept rubbing her legs and propositioning her to perform sex acts, authorities said. She told him to stop repeatedly and told him no at least once, the report said.
That's when guests at the party noticed that the cover for the hot tub had been moved to block anyone from seeing what was happening inside, the police report continued.
Elicier is accused of grabbing the woman by the back of her neck and forcing her into the corner of the hot tub, pulling down her underwear, and forcibly raping her, the police report said. He tried to kiss her, but she refused. He also offered her cash and services as bribes, the report continued.
The rape lasted a couple of minutes until a friend yelled out they were leaving the party, the report said.
Guests at the party noticed the woman was distraught and crying after leaving the hot tub. She pulled a friend into the bathroom and told them what had happened.
That friend kicked Elicier out of the party and contacted the police.
Elicier was being held on a $500,000 bail.
